The C. G. Jung Society of Baton Rouge presents:
Demeter and Persephone
Presenter: Sarah Shelton M.S., LPC-S, NCC
For the ancient Greeks, a myth or tale was not a passive experience but an opportunity to participate in an experience of the divine. Please join me in entering into the myth of Demeter and Persephone, as we explore themes of “identity, relationship, separation, and integrity of the self”.
In addition to talking about my experience of this myth, I hope to encourage others to embark on their own journey- to spark some ideas on how to walk your own myth.
Sarah Shelton is a training candidate in the Inter-Regional Society of Jungian Analysts and maintains a private practice in Uptown, New Orleans. A longtime resident of New Orleans, she is looking forward to drumming during the upcoming carnival season, her version of picking up the thyrsus and giving Dionysus his due.
